Why We're Walking to End Breast Cancer

Walking 39 Miles for a Good Cause
One day Pam told Pastor Megan that it was her goal to participate in the Breast Cancer walk, but she was nervous that it would be too hard to raise the $1,500 each that walkers are supposed to raise for the event.  After pledging to walk the race together, Pastor Megan signed them both up for this year's walk.
Motivated by personal experiences and the struggles of friends, Pastor Megan and Pam will be walking as a way to respond to all of the cancer that members of our congregation have had in the past or are currently facing.  We also walk in celebration of all the breastfeeding moms who have had babies at the Grace Infant Care Center.

Pastor Megan and Pam will be doing the hardest work - walking 39 miles.  Please consider supporting our walk with a donation.  Consider pledging $1 for each mile we walk by donating $39 or more. You can pledge money for Pam's walk here.  You can pledge money for Pastor Megan's walk here.

You can also put donations in the offering plate and mark Avon 39 on the envelope so we'll know that the donation is to support the Breast Cancer Walk.  Pam and Pastor Megan will be hosting a special coffee hour at the church before the walk to raise additional funds.
